Virtual World 2000 AD
Virtual Reality (VR) Is the use of the latest computer technology to create a simulation of an alternate world.
VR has been able to evolve through many steps and changes in the blending of technology and imagination. The basic principles behind VR are unchanging, If you look at the way we see and interpret the world around us, you can see what VR is trying to achieve. The advantage of VR is an added element of control over what we percieve.
Ever since we started talking we have felt the need to communicate events, dreams and visions we have experienced. We have used an experimented with sound and vision in many ways in order to bring that level of communication closer to the original event, dream or vision.
What VR offers is a new vast communication medium that we can use to immerse the senses in an experience, using technology to trick the brain into percieving a simulation as reality.
